Taurus X

The Taurus X was released with the fifth-generation Taurus and Sable as a replacement for the Freestyle crossover. Under the hood, it had the same 3.5L V6 and 6F automatic as the sedans. The exterior recieved the three-bar grille on a somewhat more vertical front end.

It was available in SEL, Eddie Bauer, and Limited trims. Six-passenger seating was standard, with 7-passenger seating available via an optional second-row split bench seat.

Production ended February 27, 2009.
